Past Projects

Gisborne

This 100-child centre was ground-breaking stuff for the Gisborne town centre. The biggest centre in town to date, the most architecturally stunning, and the most extensive interior design, backed by one of New Zealand’s most recognisable and innovative operators. This building was embraced by its receiving city, filled up rapidly and was sold for the leading Yield for a commercial building in Gisborne at the time (and probably still) reflecting its comparability as an investment to other leading centres in the countries main cities.

Little Manly

Our smallest centre to date at just 55 kids. Not our standard development but picked up as a small in house project for giggles - the centre is a roaring success for the operators and whilst not a particularly profitable development at this small size - the upside was establishing a relationship with a quality operators and understanding the limits of commercial practicalities in small centres.

Kawakawa

This small mixed-use centre is anchored by a 125 Childcare centre leased to an existing client and supported by 3 retail shops and Café. Another architectural significant design statement on the Kawakawa road frontage and utilising the aspect to the council reserve at the rear - this centre was sold to a property syndicator as a long-term investment.

2 Oracle

A 125 Childcare centre. It is actually an expansion of the 100 childcare centre next door which is operated by the same owners (and also built by northbridge 2 years earlier). This centre provides a community facility in the heart of the Albany town centres employment zone.

3M

The North Shores first 'green star; rated building, this was design build for 3M New Zealand’s head office. It includes 2,000m2 of office space over 2 levels and a basement carpark. There was an extensive integrated tenant fitout and extensive use of tenant products in the design and facades. Still looking great over a decade down the track and still home to 3M.

WDHB

A dialysis unit for the North Shore community based just down the road from our office here in Albany. Purpose build for the local health board.

Tia Ping

This major Asian supermarket chain was the anchor tenant on the extensive land holdings developed by Northbridge down the arterial Rosedale Road in   Albany. The supermarket itself was almost 1,800m2 of space. Built in 2012/13 in the aftermath of the GFC required both tenant and developer to work closely to manage costs and make a combined leap of faith in the validity of the location. Needless to say,  nearly a decade later the faith of both parties has been   justified and it is a tightly held retail destination for the shore’s ethnic community.

Rosedale Retail

Comprising over 3,000m2 of retail space over more than 30 shops these units were built in stages alongside the tai Ping Supermarket. There is no vacancy in these shops which are a tightly held retail destination catering to the Asian community and diners seeking an authentic dining experience.

Apollo Retail (butterfly)

Built in the teeth of the GFC in 2011, this corner site in Albany was developed into retail units and received a strong tenancy response in what was a very constrained economic environment.  The site has grown up with the surrounding business park environment and is well patronised by local community.

Orchard Park

Stage 1 of a retail development in a greenfield Albany business park, the centre attracted strong interest from Asian retailers and has become a hub for the local Asian community.

Corinthian Retail

Is effectively stage 2 following the roaring success of the stage 1 'Orchard park' retail development across the road. Albeit with its own unique design and feel - the centre has none the less replicated the appeal to the Asian community and is fully occupied by thriving Asian eateries creating a dining hub on the north shore.
